Hepatitis Aggravates in Bulgaria's 2nd City

The region of Plovdiv has seen a rapid increase in the number of newly-diagnosed hepatitis patients over the weekend, Darik News reported.

In the Stolipinovo district, populated by Roma people, 22 new cases have emerged.

Since the beginning of July the spot has seen a total of 254 infections with the dangerous disease.

In Sheker Mahala neighbourhood medics have confirmed one new case, bringing the total number to 46.

Checks at Stolipinovo homes have shown extremely poor hygiene, which is seen as the cause of this summer's epidemic.
