MTV is staging a concert in Bulgaria, part of its Exit initiative for fighting human trafficking and exploitation, reports say.
Sofia music lovers will get the chance to hear Ian Brown, Scratch Perverts, Herbaliser and Microchunk VJs at the Sofia leg of the Exit 2006 tour on August 29.
The gig, organized jointly by MTV and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), aims at raising awareness around the issue of human trafficking and exploitation.
The event in Bulgaria will take place in two parts, avtora.com reports. First fans will be able to enjoy some open-air festivities with Ian Brown and local Nova Generatsia and Cigaretta hitting the capital's South Park. The bands will be supported by visual effects from British Microchunk VJs.
Later the same evening there will be a party at Sofia club Black Box where British duo Herbaliser and Scratch Perverts will take the stage.
MTV's Exit 2006 tour will also drop by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Romania and Belarus.
