Half-dead fish have been cast ashore to the north of Bulgarian Black Sea coastal city of Varna. What lead to the death of a large number of fish was oxygen deficiency, according to the Regional veterinarian medical department in Varna. The shortage is a result of the intensive sea plants flowering, they added. Water flora increase clogs fish's gills. Oxygen deficiency makes the fish disoriented and they come up to the surface, the service explained. The occurrence is not something unusual and does not threaten the health of the tourists in any way, the service's director Dr. Aleksandrov said.
