An anti-HIV program will ride the wave of summer and holidaymaking in the coastal city of Varna, Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) announced.

The initiative is part of BRC's youth organization (BRC Youth) project "Safe Island" and aims to promote a vacation free of sexual risks.

During the campaign, which will run August 7-9, nearly 2,500 condoms, 3,000 lubricants, cards and fliers with educational information will be distributed among people holidaying in the "sea capital".

BRC Youth was established in Varna in 1922 and is the most active organization in the fight against the sexual transmitted disease. This is the fourth year in a row that they educate Bulgarian citizens and visitors of responsible sexual behavior.
