Construction Piece Hits Bulgarian Passer-By

Crime | July 4, 2006, Tuesday // 00:00

A Bulgarian woman was hit over the head with a brick in the city of Gabrovo, media reported.

The 61-year-old woman was passing by a construction in the city's centre when the brick that most likely fell from the building site hit her, according to private Darik radio. She collapsed to the ground with a large laceration to the head.

Passers-by quickly reacted and the local emergency ward received more than ten signals for the accident. A lot of people gathered around the scene, making it hard for medical teams to get to the victim at first.

The woman has been hospitalised and doctors fear she might have suffered a concussion. There is no imminent danger to her life.
