Young people and their access to sexual health services - that is the target of a new study launched in Vratsa, north Bulgaria.

Assessors will be interviewing gynecologists and other medics, school medical personnel, psychologists and other experts, to find out how people aged 10-24 look after their sexual health.

The project has revived funding from the United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA.

Lovech, Sliven and Targovishte are the other Bulgarian municipalities taking part in the programme.

Vratsa was included because of troubling facts about the number of sexual transmitted disease infections, early pregnancies - including of girls aged 15 - and abortions, media report.
