Despite the fact that some EU countries are just waiting for Bulgaria's next gaffe to shut the big gates, our politicians just don't seem to get it. Instead of laying low for a while and just doing their jobs, they keep trying to accuse each other of bigger and bigger sins, hoping to please the EC with tackling high-level corruption.
Quite like monkeys in the zoo, the more people there are watching, the stupider their performances get. Now it turned out that the country's Interior Minister was a hooligan, much to the satisfaction of many cynics. In reply he turned on a former PM and opposition party member, who will in reply turn to a former prosecutor maybe, who will then... And everyone outside the cage will roll down laughing at how each monkey bonks a smaller one on the head, because it just can't channel its frustration on the bigger one. In the meantime there are real, tangible problems in the country, but by the time we get to them we'd have no politicians left... which might not be that bad after all.
