Medics at an international conference in Varna have announced that 280 000 Bulgarian families were unable to have children, media reported Sunday.
The forum brought together 120 scientists, 35 of them foreign guests. The medics from the US, Japan, France, Germany, Israel, Hungary and other countries shared their experience in diagnosing and treating sterility.
Immunological problems are becoming a more likely reason for many of the sterility cases, participants have said.
That could be because of environmental changes, hormone drugs, even because of the modern way of life, according to the experts.
