Bulgaria Celebrates International Children's Day

Society | June 1, 2006, Thursday // 00:00

Children all over Bulgaria enjoy their holiday on Thursday, with hundreds of events that grownups have organized especially for them.

Celebrations vary from a retro train ride to a free visit to the army museum in Sofia.

Drivers in Bulgaria are urged to mark the day by keeping their lights on, in an attempt to ensure road safety for children.

Several pediatric clinics in the country will offer free tests for their young patients. Kids will also get the chance to visit the Sofia zoo for free on their special day.
