Unhappy Homes Make Women Uglier

Women who grew up in unhappy homes develop a less attractive appearance, UK scientists say.

A research published by the Royal Society showed that women whose parents had separated or had a poor relationship look less feminine and healthy.

Scientists assessed the features of 229 women, and found out that females with a harmonious family background were significantly more attractive.

Results were linked to testosterone levels, but it was not absolutely clear whether the increased hormone was genetic or caused by stressful family life.

Previous research has shown that girls whose parents split up are more likely to start their periods earlier, start having sex sooner and have a higher rate of teenage pregnancy, the BBC said.
