Istanbul Airport Ablaze, 3 Injured

Three people were reportedly injured when a huge fire ravaged in the freight area of Istanbul's main Ataturk airport, disrupting the whole air traffic. Hundreds of people have fled the area and nearby terminals. Initial reports say the fire broke out in the international cargo terminal, which is just bordering military premises. It remains unclear what caused the blaze. Officials suggested a short circuit might have triggered it and some chemicals cargo facilitated the quick spread of flames. The airport is the main airport for domestic and international flights - and serves as the main hub for tourism in Turkey. The Ministry of Transport has convened an emergency meeting in Ankara, to try to find out what happened.
