The Foreign Arts Gallery has surprised Sofia citizens Tuesday evening with a rain of lights pouring down from all its sides. The impressive illumination is part of a municipal project to make key historic and cultural buildings in the two million capital city more inviting and friendly looking nighttime. The initiative has given new lights - and life - to a dozen other buildings, including the National Arts Gallery, the Synod, Sofia University, the tomb of Prince Alexander Batenberg, the National Library, the Military Club, the Apostle's Monument, as well as numerous emblematic churches downtown.
