Unidentified assaulters have broken into the Sofia headquarters of the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union - People's Union (BANU-PU) late on Tuesday.
The news came just two days after the party expelled a few splitters from its administrative council at an extraordinary congress on Sunday.
The party's press officer Marieta Tsoncheva openly blamed for the attack opponents of the leader Anastasiya Mozer. At an earlier congress on May 13, they turned upon her, decided to rename the party to Agrarian People's Union and elected Stefan Lichev for their leader.
Stefan Lichev was one of a dozen members who were expelled four days later at an extraordinary congress.
Mozer slammed the splitters as "corrupt oligarchs". She has informed Chief Prosecutor Boris Velchev over the incident. Mozer expressed preocuppation with the fact that the intruders, armed with a forfeit power of attorney, has convinced arriving policemen there was no problem.
