WHO Chief Undergoes Brain Surgery

The head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr LEE Jong-wook, is still in hospital after undergoing a brain surgery on Saturday, the organization announced. Lee suddenly fell ill on Saturday afternoon while he was attending an official function. He was taken to the Cantonal Hospital in Geneva where he had emergency surgery to remove a blot clot on his brain. WHO and Lee's family are grateful for the kind wishes, which have been sent by friends and colleagues from around the world, a press statement reads.
