Five Bulgarian Museums will keep their doors open for visitors until midnight on Saturday, as part of the European initiative Night of the Museums.

Four of these museums are in Sofia and one in seaside's Varna.

The National Gallery of Foreign Art, the Sofia City Gallery, the National Museum of Archeology and the National Arts Gallery in Sofia opened their doors for free. Mimes, dancers and other performers urged citizens in with untraditional invitations and the promise of an interesting night out.

A total of 1660 museums all over Europe have joined the initiative.
