Bird Flu Found in Romania's Capital

Avian flu hotbeds have been confirmed in two districts in Romania's main city of Bucharest. Districts 2 and 4 have been placed under quarantine, Bucharest general mayor Adriean Videanu told media on Saturday. The deadly virus has been detected in the Andronache area in district 2 and in the Giurgiu area in district 4. Veterinary authorities are keeping a sharp eye on a total of 649 households.
