Bulgaria's soprano Tsvetelina Maldzhanska will line up angel-voiced Andrea Bocelli in his concert on May 21, confirming earlier rumours about her appearance on stage.
Last year Maldzhanska partnered also world-acclaimed tenor Jose Carreras in his performance here.
No more than 3,000 people will be allowed in the National Palace of Culture's biggest hall, following a request of Bocelli himself.
For his Bulgarian audience the Italian singer has prepared a 90-minute-long show with a pause of a quarter of an hour. He will only perform opera pieces.
Bocelli is planning two or three closed-doors rehearsals before his appearance in Sofia. He will fly to Bulgaria in his private jet, media reported.
The Tuscan-born tenor is often praised as the man with the most beautiful voce in the world. Bocelli has shared the stage with legends from all genres like Sarah Brightman, Celine Dion, U2's lead singer Bono, Luciano Pavarotti, and Eros Ramazzotti.
The performance of Bocelli here will inaugurate this year's edition of the Salon of Arts program and all events in relation to the May 24 celebrations dedicated to Bulgarian letters and culture.
