Strong Quake Jolts Indonesia, Cracks Land

A strong earthquake shook Indonesia's island of Nias in the late hours of Tuesday, causing visible cracks in the land, media reported. The epicentre of the 6.4-magintude quake was in the Indian Ocean. No one was hurt during the jolts, authorities say. Despite from the cracked land, there are no reports of damaged buildings, either. Nikas Island was badly hit by a destructive earthquake, a little over a year ago. 600 people were killed then and many more lost their homes.
