Police are investigating one main version for the gruesome murder of the two sisters from the town of Pazardzhik.

In an interview for local Darik radio the head of the Pazardzhik police department Zhoro Stoitsev explained that although there is one main version another 3 options are also being probed.

Stoitsev also explained that not all analyses are ready and that impedes the investigation. So far there are no witnesses of the murder that have testified in the police.

All signals, including the ones coming from psychics are being checked and that takes too much time and money, Stoitsev added. In his words the murder was not an act of a serial killer, still, "Bulgaria's society should take care of the children's safety."

The two sisters went missing at the end of January after leaving a disco bar in Pazardzhik. Rositsa and her sister Kristina were found raped and beaten to death at the beginning of February near the town of Peshtera.

More than two months after the brutal murder that shook the whole country, police has neither seized the perpetrators nor fingered any suspects.
