26 Dead Dolphins Shock Bulgaria's Northern Seaside

Twenty-six dead dolphins have been found in Bulgaria's northern seaside areas.

The bodies of 11 dolphins have been discovered at the beach of Krapets, 8 others were found near Shabla and 7 at the Durankulak beach, Varna authorities announced.

The friendly mammals imost probably drowned after they got stuck into fishermen's nets, experts believe .

The Executive agency for fishery and aqua cultures is to take urgent measures to prevent other such cases.

Dolphins are on Bulgaria's list of protected species, and people who hurt them face rather severe fines.
