Coexistence Impossible

By Ivelina Puhaleva

A group of dozen people have embodied the most ultra-tentative part of Bulgarian population, but they keep on acting as if puppets. Just within days few MPs carrying the flag of Ataka (Attack) have shown us as immature - or surreptitious - behaviour as only children could be blamed for. All the media and society have gazed in amazement on the development of a story, which might have simply added a figure to the road accident record. People vested in legislature, immunity and highest responsibility play hide-and-seek on the background of a river turning into sea. While the floodwaters submerge the scanty buds of trust in affected households, a lawyer makes it a game to hit headlines with mutually refuting versions on an accident of apparent violence and disrespect for law. The apparition of Ataka into Bulgarian Parliament has been well explained, but not justifiable enough yet. Whoever tells the truth this story does not deserve being converted into a pair of tongs for political machination - the least on the side of the ruling majority.
