Thieves Pilfer Bulgarian Temples

Thieves have desecrated two Bulgarian temples near Blagoevgrad in the south overnight, the Ministry of Interior announced.

The "Saint Todor Stratilat" church was broken into on Friday evening, and is currently missing a font and several church plates, worth about EUR 75 in total. The robbers forced the church door using two large wooden joists. Police still haven't found the culprits.

In the meantime another temple in the region - the "Holly Transfiguration" church was attacked as well. An unknown assailant forced the door of the vestry and took about BGN 50 in coins and bills.
