The assassination attempt against our colleague Vassil Ivanov is a terrorist act, said Silva Zurleva, chair of the Board of Directors of Nova TV channel.

Talking hours after a powerful bomb explosion blew to pieces the apartment of the top crime reporter, Zurleva was positive that the assault was triggered by some of the scandalous investigations of the journalists.

"There are people who lost posts and money following Vassil's reports."

"I trust much more the morale of the Bulgarian journalists, than the morale of the Bulgarian politicians, who claim to have been waging a war on organized crime for the last sixteen years," Zurleva said.

"I wish some politician had come with me to meet Vassil's mother at 4 am in the morning and explain to her her son was not in danger."
