Bulgarian fanciers of precious stones are faced with a strong temptation, a just-opened exhibition of exotic gems.

For the first time in the country, visitors will see champagne-coloured diamonds, at a price of USD 450 for a carat.

Ruby stones from Burma, Columbian emeralds, as well as topaz, aquamarine, quartz, amethyst and other pieces have also been displayed at the National Museum Earth and People.

Media said that 30 companies are taking part, joined by gem collectors from Bulgaria, Armenia and Ukraine.
