Dozens Killed in Mosul Bloodshed

At least 40 people were killed on Monday when a bomb hit a US-Iraqi base in Mosul, northern Iraq. Police said the blast targeted Iraqi army recruits and officers. The attack was carried out by a human bomber strapped with explosives, officials said. Mosul witnessed a deadly attack on a US armed forces mess tent in 2004 that killed 21 people, including 18 Americans.
