Belarus Back in the Grip of Protests

Clashes broke out between police and several thousand protesters in the Belarus capital Minsk during a large opposition rally over disputed election results. Opposition leader Aleksander Kozulin was among several protesters arrested as they marched on a jail where other demonstrators are held, BBC reported. Police reportedly fired smoke grenades in an attempt to disperse the march. A peaceful rally was moved to a city centre park after police closed October Square, site of earlier protests. Protesters have taken to streets of the Belarus capital Minsk, once again in a rally over disputed elections. Police has closed off Minsk's October Square - scene of recent protests, BBC reporte Amid strong allegations of vote rigging, President Alexander Lukashenko has earned a third mandate. Belarus officials have insisted the election was fair.
