Sofia city court postponed until June 6 the trial over the death of a young man in a fountain in downtown Sofia in May last year.

Defendants in the case are Georgi Zenginov, Vassil Kamenov and Simeon Kralev, who are charged with culpable negligence.

The applicant, the mother of the dead 34-year-old Vesselin Marinov, brought a civil action for BGN 210,000 for non-pecuniary damages.

Slaveykov Square, where the killer fountain is located, hosts the city's most popular book market, and is also one of the busiest locations in downtown Sofia.
