Sir Alan Parker, the tireless and world-renowned UK film-maker, is about to add Sofia's honorable award to his wide array of prizes.

Sir Alan Parker, who arrived in Sofia Friday evening in the framework of Sofia Film Fest, will have two of his landmark movies shown to the Bulgarian audience - "Fame", which won two Oscars, for best score and best song, and the Irish comedy "The Commitments".

Moviegoers will also have the chance to recall the harrowing story of "Midnight Express" and the seminal Pink Floyd film "The Wall".

Along with his films, Parker will surprise his fans in Sofia with an exhibition of cartoons, which mock some of the biggest stars of the world's cinema.
