Berlusconi, UK Lawyer Face Corruption Trial

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and a British lawyer may be taken to court on corruption charges. Local prosecutors have accused Berlusconi bribing the lawyer David Mills into false testimony, Sky news reported. According to the prosecutors Berlusconi had coughed up about GBP 350,000 for the lawyer to lie on the stand at two corruption trials. These accusations come a months before Italy's general elections that are to take place April 9 and 10. The Prime Minister has already blamed the prosecution for trying to discredit him out of political reasons.
