Large Cash Sum Stolen In New Securitas Raid in UK

Police are investigating a raid on a Securitas cash van in Cheshire by a gang, which used a tractor to smash into the vehicle. Securitas confirmed the amount taken in the raid on Wednesday night was "several hundred thousand pounds". A Securitas statement said some cash was left at the scene by the gang. A tractor is believed to have been used to ram the back of the security van, causing the doors to open. A low loader lorry is also thought to have been used to force the van to stop. The robbery comes after GBP 53M was stolen in Britain's biggest cash robbery at a Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent, on February 22.
