Bulgaria Switches to Summer Clocking March 26

Society | March 6, 2006, Monday // 00:00

Bulgarians will switch clocks an hour forward on March 26, it became known on Monday.

Thus the nation will step into the daylight saving time, or the summertime clocking.

It will begin at exactly 3 a.m. on the last Sunday of March, the state meteorology administration said.

Moving into the daylight saving will eat up an hour on that Sunday's nap, but provide more light in the evenings for the next six months.

Standard time will be back at 4 a.m. on October 29.
