Bulgarian-born Iv Toshain has been named Artist of the Month by the Austrian Siemens_artLab online gallery.
Toshain, whose real name is Iva Stamenova has lived and worked in Vienna for four years after graduating from Sofia's Art Academy.
Siemens Austria and the Viennese Ernst Hilger Gallery have joined in the creation of the artLab initiative. Each month the gallery gives a striving young artist the possibility of publicizing their works and also selling them online. The respective artist's paintings are presented at the artLab website, accompanied by a short biography, and critics' opinions.
Toshain is 26 years old and in her paintings she explores matters of man's connection with nature.
