Days of Bulgarian Culture are to open on February 26 in Rome to promote one of oldest cultures on the European continent.

The project will also seek to raise funds for renovation works at the culture centre donated to Bulgaria by Rome. Prominent actors, musicians and artists are to popularize the Bulgarian culture on the doorstep of the country's EU entry.

The Culture Days are organised under the aegis of Vice-President Anguel Marin, Culture Minister Stefan Danailov, the Bulgarian Embassy in Italy and Rome Municipality and will continue until March 1.

Part of it is the exhibition of Bulgaria's ancient treasures already on display in the Quirinale Palace in the heart of Rome.
