RUSSIA SEEKS TO EXPAND COOPERATION WITH BULGARIAN BUSINESS

Bulgarian Vice-Prime Minister and Economics Minister Nikolai Vasilev will arrive in Moscow on January 20 on a visit to discuss economic cooperation with Russian colleagues.

He will be accompanied by a large group of businessmen who represent the leading enterprises of the country. The purpose of the visit is to agree on the terms and the agenda of a session of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
On Wednesday, the Bulgarian vice-prime minister received Russian ambassador in Sofia Vladimir Titov to discuss prospects for cooperation in such areas as industry, energy, tourism and investments in Bulgaria's economy.

During the visit, the Bulgarian delegation will hold talks with Russian Vice-Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, and all ministers of the Russian Economics Ministry, Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov and the LUKOIL and Gazprom leadership.

Russian businessmen show interest in the development of Bulgaria's energy and express their readiness to invest in this sector, the Russian ambassador said.
