Take Your Time with a Valentine

February is upon us, featuring the Day of St Trifon Zarezan and Valentine's Day when lovers traditionally exchange greetings and gifts.

Naturally, there are always the old Valentine's Day standbys, such as jewelry, chocolate, flowers, perfume, car wax, lingerie, the swimsuit-enclosed issue and a romantic dinner.

But here are several Valentine's Day gift ideas that are, hopefully, a bit more unconventional.

1. Chocolate

Of course you must present a box of chocolates to your sweetheart along with a one-pound box of a mousse dessert chocolat, consisting of dark chocolate shells, each containing layers of espresso-flavored mousse and vanilla cream.

2. Jubilee facial at пїЅ Spa centre

This treatment is for men as well as women. Most men don't know much about spas. That's what makes a spa gift certificate so great. Spa gift certificates arrive in an elegant envelope, accompanied by a directory of participating spas listing where certificates can be redeemed. This way, she can do the research and choose the spa she wants to go to.

3. Jewelry

What woman doesn't swoon when she sees the little blue box? You don't have to drop a grand to get her something nice. It will be then enough for you to see her gleaming smile.

4. Lingerie's Secret

If you can't decide what to give, go for the classic choice of lingerie. A teddy is much better than a teddy bear. A brand-trading lingerie shop is your best bet because it has a wide range of styles and prices.

5. Sit down and write a letter

If Napoleon can do it, why not you? Need some inspiration or want to plagiarize the famous? You can rummage the Internet for some letter examples, but why not unleash your imagination and make up an own rhyme.

From Napoleon to Josephine, before their 1796 wedding: "I wake filled with thoughts of you. Your portrait and the intoxicating evening which we spent yesterday have left my senses in turmoil."

From Winston Churchill to his wife, Clemmie: "What it has been to me to live all these years in your heart and companionship no phrases can convey."
