BILLA WITH 5 NEW HYPERMARKETS

The Austrian hypermarket network BILLA invests some BGN 10 M in each of its hypermarkets in Bulgaria. The amount of the investments depends on the cost of the land. BILLA entered on the Bulgarian markets in October 2000 with its first hypermarket on the standard area of 2,400 sq. m. and a parking lot for 300-350 cars. At present BILLA has a chain of 5 hypermarkets - 3 in Sofia, one in Pazardzhik and one in Sliven. Till end-2001 from 3 to 5 new hypermarkets are envisaged - in Burgas, Shoumen, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora.
