On the day of Christ Temple's Presentation, February 2, Bulgarian folk tradition marks Cock's Day when people feast with chicken.

Famous life and showbiz personalities decided to follow the example of politicians and publicly demonstrated Thursday the safety in eating chicken and poultry products.

Amid growing fears of deadly bird flu spread, Bulgarian officials have urged people not to be prejudiced towards poultry and eggs, so far as they are well cooked. In this way, they tried to meet poultry and eggs' producers complaining of decreased demand in their output.
