Bulgaria's Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev has vowed his support for Sofia's candidature to host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in a letter to the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Jacque Rogge.
"Bulgaria's government will support the initiative and the institutions in the country will do their best for the organization of the Olympic Games and the preservation of the Olympic movement values," the letter reads.
"I will be a great honor for us to provide everything so that everyone feels at home and make their dreams come true in Sofia."
Bulgaria's capital officially submitted its bid to host the XXII Winter Olympic Games in 2014 in July.
This is Bulgaria's third bid to host the Olympic Games, following its failures in 1992 and 1994.
