Evgenia Radanova conquered the women's 500-meter race in the European short track speed skating championship in Krynica Zdroj, southern Poland, after she won at the 1,500 meters as well.

Bulgaria's five-times European and World Champion at 500m covered the distance for 45.174 seconds and left Italy's Arianna Fontana four hundredths of a second behind. Third was Tatyana Borodulina from Russia with 46.045 seconds.

Currently Radanova is only a race away from winning the complex European title. If she grabs the gold in the 150-meter race, she would become the European champion for the sixth time in her career.
