Israeli Leader to Undergo Operation

Israeli leader Ariel Sharon is to undergo a tracheotomy within the next few hours, SkyNews reported. The move is designed to help wean the Prime Minister off a respirator that has been helping him breathe since he suffered a massive stroke on January 4. Hospital officials said Sharon was in critical but stable condition ahead of the surgery. He is also to undergo a brain scan.
