Bulgaria's top tennis player Sesil Karatantcheva has made her first official comment on her two-year sanction.
Questions by other media included.
Q: Since when have you been aware of the positive dope tests?
Sesil: That doesn't seem to matter much any more. I am not pleased with the decision and will take my appeal to a higher court. The matter is somewhat of a personal one and wouldn't feel comfortable discussing it in public.
Q: Do you deny the rightness of the sanction?
Radoslav Karatanchev: We are not admitting any guilt. The decision for suspending Sesil was quite biased, not all arguments were taken into account.
Q: Why were some of your arguments ignored?
Sesil: I have always been proud to represent my country, and always will be. But I wonder why does Bulgaria always have to be the black sheep.
Radoslav Karatanchev: We served as a warning to other players.
Q: You will turn 18 in two years, will you keep your father as coach then?
Sesil: My father is my only sponsor. Nobody has offered any assistance, even after all the things I achieved. And it's natural for me to want to keep him after all the things he did to take me to such a high level.
