Sensational DJ Paul Oakenfold, record producer and one of the best-known DJs worldwide, will usher the new 2006 in Bulgaria's club music on January 12.

He will throw a major party in Sofia for 1000 selected guests.

In 1987, Oakenfold and his friends, Trevor Fung and Ian St. Paul, spent several months in Ibiza, Spain, where they fell in love with the dance club music.

In the same year, Oakenfold released his first solo album, called Bunkka featuring artists like Nelly Furtado ("The Harder They Come"), Ice Cube ("Get Em Up") and Shifty Shellshock, the lead singer of Crazy Town ("Starry Eyed Surprise"). His latest effort is 2004's Creamfields, a double album.

2004 saw Paul also achieved recognition for his scoring of video games - receiving a nomination for a ‘Spike TV Video Game Award' for his soundtrack contribution to the Electronic Arts Game, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent.
