BULGARIAN CHILDREN WIN MEDALS IN INTERNATIONAL PAINTING COMPETITION

Bulgarian children, students at the art school in the northern town of Pleven, were awarded medals at an international painting competition in Macedonia. Their works were selected from among 4,500 painted by children from three continents, the school director explained. The competition marked the anniversary of the liberation of Macedonia's capital Skopje, November 13. The entrants were aged between 5 and 18 and came from Europe, Asia and America. The Bulgarians won two gold, two silver and one bronze medals.
