Bulgaria's CSKA has dropped out of the UEFA Cup after losing 2:1 to Monaco on Thursday.

After two goals by Monaco, Bulgaria's hopes were revived by Velizar Dimitrov, who netted a goal in the opponents' post in the 84th minute.

Olivier Kapo opened the score for Monaco in the 49th minute with a sharp angle goal and was followed by Sebastian Squillaci in the 76th minute.

Earlier in the game CSKA's Emil Gargorov and Yordan Todorov missed two wonderful opportunities to bring their team back on its feet. In the very last minute of the game Monaco's goalkeeper saved his team from dropping out by saving a strong shot.

If CSKA had evened the score they would have moved on. As it stands now Monaco, German Hamburger and Czech Slavia will continue in UEFA's "A" group.
