Ducth football club Heerenveen claimed the final berth from Group-F with a 2-1 victory over Levski Sofia.

The goals came in a spurt of action five minutes after the break.

Substitute Andre Hanssen scored a dramatic late winner to send Heerenveen into the knockout stages of the UEFA Cup with victory over Levski Sofia. The goal had come from behind after Miroslav Ivanov briefly put Levski ahead in the second half before Georgios Samaras equalised.

The Italian club Roma, Bolton of England, the Swiss team Basel and Heerenveen of the Netherlands advanced after ending their games on Wednesday.

With one day remaining in the group stage, 17 clubs have qualified for the knockout phase of European soccer's second-tier competition.

Another eight teams relegated from the Champions League will join them and the final seven clubs will be decided Thursday, including CSKA Sofia.
