Prince Albert Taking Monaco Throne

Prince Albert II was enthroned in Monaco, ending a process that began when he was sworn in before his subjects in July. A day of ceremonies was launched with a solemn mass at the tiny principality's cathedral, followed by a football match and opera. His investiture coincides with Monaco's national day. The 47-year-old was officially proclaimed ruler of Monaco in a day of celebrations in July. It followed three-months of mourning for his father Prince Rainier, who died in April at the age of 81.
