The tiara that adorned Dona Margarita Gomez-Acebo when she married Bulgaria's last king will be shown for the first time in Bulgaria.

The precious piece will be part of a unique exhibition, showing much of the Saxe-Coburg sentimental family heritage.

Dona Margarita's crown will certainly be the most exquisite exhibit, with its 8-karat centrepiece Indian ruby, as well as diamonds and emeralds.

Much of the expo, opening November 24 in Sofia, will consist of fine tableware, like the hollowware of King Ferdinand.

Visitors to the National Museum of History will be also able to see a beautiful royal carriage, as well as pieces of great sentimental value to the former King-to-Premier Simeon Saxe-Coburg.

His swaddling clothes from the time when he was a baby, the tiny shoes with the colours of the Bulgarian flag, the apparel he wore at his christening will be on display, 24 Chasa daily said Saturday.

The royal heir is now one of the leaders of Bulgaria's ruling coalition.
