Bulgaria handed out Thursday its most prestigious journalism awards, Chernorizets Hrabur for the fourth time.
For the first time journalists from electronic media were also prized for their work.
The big prize for overall work was not granted this year. The chair of the Chernorizets Hrabur Academy media expert Georgi Lozanov explained that the academy needs time to reconsider its priorities. The financial prize of BGN 10,000 will be granted as scholarships to two students studying Journalism.
Isak Gozes from the Standart daily landed the award in the category of analytical and commentary material.
Tsvetanka Rizova from Nova TV landed the award in the TV publicism category, whereas her colleague Milan Ognyanov from the Bulgarian National Radio received the award for Radio publicism.
In the Photo journalistic category the prize was handed to Nadezhda Chipeva from Dnevnik daily and her colleague Hristo Hristov received the award for journalistic research in the printed media.
The award for Operator mastership went to Bulgarian National television cameraman Valentin Gonevski.
Mirolyuba Benatova from the private bTV channel was praised for her journalistic researches in electronic media.
The ceremony took place at the edifice of the National Theater Ivan Vazov.
