I am proud to be Bulgarian and contribute for the fame of Bulgarian sports abroad, World Chess Champion Vesselin Topalov told Bulgarian MPs.

He was solemnly congratulated in the plenary hall on Wednesday, just a day after returning with the World Title from Argentina.

Later on Wednesday Vesselin Topalov received the keys of latest model Volvo S40 and re-signed the sponsorship contract with the country's largest mobile operator M-Tel.

The awarding ceremony was attended by many friends and colleagues of the Chess King, including the chief of Bulgarian Football Union Borislav Mihaylov, Sports Agency's Chief Vessela Lecheva, wrestler Boyan Radev, athlete Stefka Kostadinova.
