The lawyer of one of Saddam Hussein's co-defendants has been found dead. Saadoun Sughaiyer al Janabi was kidnapped from his office on Thursday, a day after he took part in the first session of the trial. His body was found near a mosque in north Baghdad, with several gunshot wounds. Al Janabi was the solicitor of one of Saddam's seven co-defendants, tried for mass massacre. In the first hearing the ousted dictator pleaded not guilty, and insisted he still had rights as the President of Iraq. Hussein also questioned the validity of the court and had a verbal spar with the presiding judge. The trial was adjourned until November 28.
